Marybelle was adopted by Charles Fitts and Grace his wife, in Michigan. We do not know her real birth name nor her biological parents. She was adopted in Kansas City, MIssouri, but very doubtful that she was actually born there.

Therei is a wild possibility only (definitely not documented) that her name might have been Rose, and that her biological parents could have been Giusseppe (Joseph) Barboa and Rose Giazomo from Sardinia, island off of Italy. Not proven by any means!!!1
