Greetings, I've been working on my Cross family tree and have run into a bit of a snag, so I thought I'd ask if you happen to know who Rial's parents or grandparents were? Here is what I have concerning Rial and also who I think his parents were:
Rial Cross was born on March 25, 1787 in Connecticut. He married Cordelia Gould on November 29, 1811 in Orleans County, Vermont. Rial died August 14, 1876 in Delaware County, Ohio.
Children of Rial Cross and Cordelia Gould: 1) Hannah G. Cross, 2) Reynolds W. Cross, 3) Thomas Jefferson Cross, 4) Jeanette Cross, 5) Henry Lee Cross, 6) Elizabeth Cross, 7) Julia Cross.
Aaron Rial Cross was born on February 1, 1769. He married Elizabeth "Unknown" in 1782 in Essex County, Massachusetts. Aaron died on August 11, 1858.
Children of Aaron Rial Cross and Elizabeth "Unknown": 1) Rial Cross.
Here's where I run into issues. Many of the sources I've found list Aaron Rial Cross' wife as Elizabeth Gould, which doesn't really make sense to me, but I also can't find any information on his parents. My assumption is that this line of Crosses links back to Robert Cross of Ipswich, Mass, but without this information it's impossible to know. Anyway, thanks for your help!
