Yeah, well, you have to expect that when you have ancestry from anywhere south of New England - and some New Englanders weren't so innocent either.

Wish my slave owning relatives were that remote. My father's family tree is a nightmare.

Hey I have ancestors from Anne Arundel MD and from the Eastern Shore of Virginia - as long as they had any money they had slaves. This went on right up to the Civil War.
