I'm looking for the ancestors for that John Shelton who was married to Fanny (Fannie?) Shelton, born around 1778 in S. Carolina (possibly N. Carolina?). These are the likely parents of one Martin Shelton who was born in Greenville, SC and died about 1881 in Paulding County, GA. As far as I can find anywhere, John and Fanny Shelton are the farthest back I can make connections with in my last-name Shelton line.
