Yes, Mary Anne Cowen was aboriginal. She was my grandmother's grandmother. My grandmother (Ada) was sent to live with Granny Bone at Nichols Rivulet after the death of her mother when she was 5 years old.

Mary Anne Cowen was brought up by Thomas Wilken Cowen and Mary (Walker) Bleeze. When Mary Bleeze was transported to Tasmania she brought her 5 year old son Charles Bleeze with her.
