We are talking about the adult senior Kenneth who came to the US in 1773. He had a namesake named Kenneth too.

Ancestry.com has many people saying his first wife was Ann Rose. One place on the net says it's Ann Ross, born five years after him in Scotland. On this site, you will see Catherine White, yet other places you will see Catherine McIver. And another Catherine Shaw.

Same problem with his birthday, ranging from 1740, 1748, 1756, etc.

WHERE is documentation to prove any of the above??

Maybe this will help.

Not the same as Kenneth Murchison, of Pocket Creek

RIN #184 - Kenneth McKenzie Murchison (1747-13 March 1836). Born in Scotland, died in Manchester, Cumberland County, NC. Buried at Longstreet Presbyterian. Married Catherine White. Rev War Patriot. Obit. Will. No father known. Names of four children known.

NOTE: This is Kenneth McKenzie Murchison, born 1747/1748 in Scotland,
married Catherine White. His will appears in Cumberland Will Book B:
262-264 (dated 31 Dec 1835/probated June 1836) KINETH MURCHINSON of
Lower Little River. Wife Catharine, son Duncan, son William, grandson
Kineth (s/o Duncan), grddau Catherine Ann, Flora, Elizabeth (not 18) and
Kineth (not 21) all children of deceased son John. Grandchildren
Murdock and Catherine (of William). Grandsons William M and Kineth M
McNeill (under 21), grddau Catherine McNeill. Daughter Rachel and her
sons John, Daniel and Hector (under age). Wit: John R Reid, Alexander
Murchinson and D Reid Jr. Mentions toll bridge over Little River, saw
mill and blacksmith shop.

He is likely the Kenneth Murchison who appeared in the 1786 Cumberland
Tax list as a "sawyer." (The other Kenneth Murchison on that list was a
"taylor.")

Kenneth Murchison was the founder of the home, Holly Hill, in Cumberland
County. This home is in or near Manchester, which was about 12 miles
northwest of Fayetteville.
