Several members of the Johnston of Newbie greater family moved to the Edinburgh area in the 1700s. i have identified the Y-DNA haplogroup of this family: I-M223. This is my family line along with 32 others who have tested and are documented. It would be very helpful to our research if a male Johnston descendant of Peter Johnston, Sr., could be found and have his Y-DNA tested.
