The first writer (at 2:49 pm today) asked for help merging his record and his "brother"'s record, which is apparently a duplicate of his own. Another contributor reported 27 minutes later that the matter was successfully resolved.

the problem started when my mate ,Chana Buch, wrote my name as Dovy. I wrote my name
as a Dovi !!! that is the big problem...........................!!!

This is not an Israel-only problem.

My father's mother, Rose (Slutsky) Cohen is listed as having 2 husbands:
"Wife of Chaim Yehudah Cohen and Louis Hyman (Chayim Yehuda) Cohen"
Geni cannot understand that Chaim Yehudah Cohen & Chayim Yehuda Cohen are the same person.

My grandmother (Rose) is also said to have 5 children:
"Mother of Rachel Cohen; Samuel Cohen; Joseph Cohen; Florence Schreiber and Raye Sylvia Cypen"
But she only had 4 children. "Rachel" and Raye Sylvia [Rayzel in Yiddish] are the same person. Rachel is her Hebrew name.

"Rachel Cohen" has a separate entry that says she is the half-sister of the other 4.
"Half sister of Samuel Cohen; Joseph Cohen; Florence Schreiber and Raye Sylvia Cypen"

This problem has existed since January 2009

I hope you have better luck merging Dovi & Dovy.

there is NO user on Geni called Chana Buch.
I can not find any other profile for you. I checked all 102 males named Dovy.

So if you want us to help you will have to copy the URL (address) of that other profile into a message here.
