Louisa Orville Rucker (Winchester) - Does anyone know where Dr. Edmund P. Rucker is buried?

I am a direct descendant of Edmund and Louisa Rucker. I have been trying to piece together the story and some things just don't make any sense.

If Dr. Rucker was tied to a post and watched his house burn down in DeKalb County Tennessee, and is said to have died in Dayton, Marengo County, Alabama then there is a problem with the story. As the story goes, he walked 70 miles to his daughter Josephine's house where he died. The problem is that it's way farther than 70 miles from DeKalb, Tennessee to Marengo, Alabama.

For the record, my gg grandfather was @Alexander Campbell Rucker, Josephine's brother.
