No evidence, please disconnect. Someone with remotely the same name was in Sweden at that time. Valfrid was not. The unknown father is some Valsenius.

We were wanting to know if there was any reliable evidence -- meaning a birth certificate, certainly, but in this case also letters, or any other sort of primary source.

The problem with the family web trees is that any one can say anything. And then that gets copied.

So, that something is on many sites doesn't make it true.

However, YOU can read it, so you can tell us — what are the facts that the link gives, and what is the evidence?

In other words, to be reliable and useful, it needs either to be primary documentation (that is, documentation contemporary with the event in question and from a reliable source) or a reliable secondary source, that cites primary documentation and is trustworthy.

Sigrid Valmina was born in Lofta parish in Sweden when her mother was working there a short period. Birth certificate was sent to the mothers home parish Hedvig Eleonora in Stockholm. The father is unknown and never mentioned in the church records..
She lives with her mother in Maria parish in Stockholm 1877-1881. In 1881 they move to Copenhagen in Denmark where her mother marries Anders Plato.

That website Jerry posted is for mormons. Gustaf Valfrid Vasenius was not a mormon and there is no need to bring this discussion any further as Geni is about FACTS, not religion. Jerry asked permission to be manager of Valfrid's profile which I declined as he is not even related to him, only to his wife.
