@ Ulreke Beilfuss was the name of my grandmother's mother. This woman (Ulreke), was from Belgard Pomerania Prussia. She was born 1849 and died 1888. She was first married to Hermann Knuth. They lived in Michigan. They had six children. I think that Herman was kicked by a horse about 1880 he went to the State Hospital (for the mentally disturbed) in Kalamazoo, MI, where he died 12/31/1881. Ulreke married my Great Grandfather, Chris Messner in 1884. In 1885 she had a daughter who was my grandmother, Anna Messner. In 1888 she had another child, Walter Messner. Both mother and child died soon after that. I have not been able to ascertain her birth site, and I have surmized that she was married either before or soon after coming to US.
