John married Sarah Hood O'Brien in Hartford County about 1798. Sarah was born in Hartford County about 1770 and was apparently a widow. She died in Lewis County after the 1830 census.

I got Question was lady Catherine Morgan Bryan Irish or From Wales???? I see her father in Wales does anyone know why this is??? Or what circumstances she ended up in Ireland she was in Ireland when hubby was going for Crown Ireland. I can’t figure out if right parents or was it a courtly marriage type deal and she moved to be with husband there. Trying to confirm her Descendant of Llewellyn ap Morgan. Didn’ know if this was common. I see most stories on her husband but nothing on her byself. Does anyone know anything about her.

Hello I am Grant O'Brien and joining this chat from New Zealand. I am searching our family line and have gotten as far back as Samuel O'Brien who was born in Dublin in 1810 who married Ellen (Ryan) O'Brien and that is as far back as I can find at this stage and would like to go further. Any leads, hints, tips, information greatly appreciated. Email grant@influencenz.net

I doubt Catherine Morgan was born in Ireland, if we have her parents right. They never left Wales.

“He passed away before the date of probate, 21 June 1624. [1] In his will he names his wife Katherine, heir William, sons Edward and Robert, second daughter Elizabeth, Blanche, Mary and Jane. As far as I can tell, he does not name first daughter Catherine.”

Thanks for researching it, Billie June. Unfortunately I believe: the wife of this man was named Catherine, she was Irish like he was, and we probably will not be able to identify her parents, because there really aren’t records from this time and place.

Erica,
I will keep digging just had near Syncopy incedent had to stop for now. Just take out what you like it just what I found. Not saying all wrong or right. You know me I present all evidence some times stuff pans out some times not. Since I live so close to these areas living wise I will hit libraries when I feel better and have time.
