~• wiki tree states that Jan wouterszen is the sname person as Jan Willemszen.... I cannot be certain for the following reason. Look at these two baptisms in the DRC. Even the wives names are different
1655 Jul 18; Jan Wouterszen Van Iselsteyn, Willemtje Willems; Machtelt; Johanna Verleth
1669 Jun 24; Jan Willemsz Yselsteyn, Willemtje Jans; Cornelis; Cornelis Janszen, Metje Jans
for this reason I am entering two Jan Iselsteyn men on GENi. After all, Iselsteyn is a place name, not a surname...
FOR THAT MATTER: Look at all the various Van Iselstyns. I cannot see how they all originated form one immigrant couple... Notice in particular that there is another Van Iselsteyn son of Wouter who married in NA in 1641. This may serve to suggest that Jan Wouterszen had a brother Egbert and is indeed a different man than Jan Willems van Iselsteyn. Another oversight (or typo) is that in the WIKITREE profile, Jan Willems Van Iselsteyn is referenced to a work that indicated that he married in 1664 (!) after the birth of all several of his children:

Another technicality concerning the child Machtelt bap. 1655; mar. Smeddes.. and had a child Jacob... It seems that Machtelt's mother Willemtje Willems Van Leyden stood witness to this baptism. If she was "van Leyden" (coming from Leyden) . perhaps this differentiates her from Willemtje Jans... who, by inference, did not.. (?)
===Baptisms===
#1655 Jul 18; Jan''' ''Wouterszen''''' Van Iselsteyn, Willemtje '''Willems'''; Machtelt; Johanna Verleth
#1677 Mar 28; Johannes Smeddes, Machtelt Jans Iselsteyn; Jacob; Abraham Lambertszen Mol, Willemtie ''Van Leyden''[12]
##''~• note Willemtie ''Van Leyden'' is said to be a wife of Jan '''Woutertszen''' (see 1655 Jul 18)''
Machtelt Janse Van Iselsteyn is key to this discussion as she was baptized at least earlier (14 years) than various other New Netherland van Iselsteyns
