I am looking for some confirmation.
Alison Notman (Robertson) died on 28 Jan 1877 in Mossend Temple
Adam and Alison's daughter Lillias (married John Ritchie)She only shows up in the 1841 census aged 8
I cant find a birth record, so she was born around 1833
She married John Ritchie 1 Dec 1854 aged about 21
The Notmans were originally recorded as Noteman
John's children
Janet
Adam
John
Were all Noteman, Janet and John were married as Noteman, Adam married as Notman
In the 1841 census they are all recorded as Notman (the men) all living in Newbattle
Adam married Alison Robertson
John married Ann Robertson
They are quite complicated as they all named theie children after the same family members
