Luther J. Adamson

Luther J. Adamson, born 1845 died 1935, was my grandfather. A recent trip to Dayton Ohio proved that I had some incorrect information about Luther. He died in Dayton at the National Military Home, not in Xenia. I was confused about the fact that Milton Adamson, his son, resided in Xenia in the Soldiers and Sailors Home there from 1909 to 1917. The Xenia Home was only for kids. I did not realize that Dayton had a National Military Home for military people and that my grandfather, a civil war veteran, spent some part of this last few years there. The Home in Dayton was incredibly large, over 600 acres, and apparently was such a scenic place that it attracted tourists in the summer time. It was closed before WWII.
