this man was my father's father. he used a few aliases and, birthplaces plus a few birthdates, Birthdates he used were Jan,16,1887 and 1880, and May 27,1880. he used both middle initials A. and E. his nickname was Jack. he and my gramma, ella louisa Jensen, of Minnesota supposedly married in 1909 or 1910. I can't find any record in Minnesota for that. He was in the army from 1906 to 1911 @ Ft.Stillwell in Minneapolis. he went AWOL a few weeks and got a year added to his enlistment from what I could glean. He lived in Mantorville, dodge co, minnesota until 1925 when he set fire to his place of employment and ran away, They had eight kids. His car was sold in Minneapolis/St. Paul. I've found many John A or E Reas, but I believe one death certificate is actually him. That guy died in 1954 from liver failure with contributing causes of hemochromatosis (which everyone in dad's family has) and pancreatitis. I have one decent picture I'll attach. I always bugged my dad to tell me about him, until he started yelling at me for bringing him up. AGAIN! No one knew or met his family. I talked to a couple of my uncles and great uncles about him, and they said they liked him, but quite a bit left was left unsaid. The Reas in my dad's generation just don't talk about family stuff. Or they were under the age of 3 when he left. So if any of this triggers a memory, I'd sure be appreciative. I always wanted more aunts uncles and cousins. Now that all of that generation is dead, no more hatred. So the rest of us want to know you. Sincerely, Karen Rea Dickerson. @john albert rea
