I believe the de Rouffignac family descend from the French Huguenot Society who fled France at the end of the 17th century. Both Joffry and Kevin (my ex-husband) have the middle name Guy and we also named our son Tony Guy. The family story was that they descended from a medical family in England (no idea if it is true) and it was important to carry on the family name. If anyone has any more information about this family and their travels from England to NZ I would be very grateful. I would like to compile a family tree for my son Tony.
