Query on John PALMER

John Palmer has the following in his About Me

"Possibly a first fleet convict.

John Henry Palmer Crime: Unknown Convicted at: London Gaol Delivery Sentence term: Life Ship: Lady Penrhyn, Scarborough and Alexander Departure date: January, 1787 Arrival date*: 31st August, 1787 Place of arrival New South Wales Passenger manifest Travelled with 275 other convicts"

However the following information appears to contradict this
1) He was born 28 May 1775 - so would have been only 12 when convicted. John Henry PALMER, the convict was 22 years old and a Law Clerk when he left England in 1787 with a life sentence
2) Had a child on 17 February 1799 at Benson, Oxon which I think refers to England. John Henry PALMER the convict was sentenced to transportation for life, so is unlikely to have been back in England 11 years later. Also John Henry PALMER the convict never made it to Australia, as he died on 12 January 1788 on board the Alexander enroute to Australia.

Here is a link to James Henry PALMER, the first fleet convict John Henry Palmer [Convict "Alexander" 1788 died en-route]

Can anyone add any supporting documentation for this John PALMER being the same person as John Henry PALMER the first fleet convict?
