The Spanish wikipedia page (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Alonso_Pimentel_de_Herrera) for Juan Alonso includes "y Quinones" in his last name, but I believe this is incorrect. His mother is an "Enriquez y Tellez-Giron" whereas his first wife is the Quinones. I believe he should just be "Juan Alonso Pimentel de Herrera."

Chris, it is to this day a custom in Spain to include the wife´s last name if it is of some importance, as it is this case. Sometines is also used to distinguish from other persons that have the same names.

Is only an opinion.
