I have established that the Thomas KEEN I have and a few others have did not travel to South Africa but was married in Buckinghamshire and was there in the 1841 census and died there later. This remainer Thomas's wife and mothers names were both Mary whereas the leaver or Settler Thomas wife was Margaret and mother Elizabeth. Both fathers were also named Thomas. I have also not been able to find a marriage to Margaret COFFEE nor a birth of Mary Ann in HAWRIDGE in Buckinghamshire. I recently purchased the book of parish records for HAWRIDGE and checked every KEEN entry from 1600 to 1900. I even created a mini tree of the remainer Thomas to see if it could throw some light on the matter. I have also been in touch with two of his decendents, one of whom I do not share any DNA with. As I have been asked to confirm his place of birth and marraige for the upcoming 200 anniversary I would appreciate any input to help me solve this mystery.
