There were so few English in the New World around 1575 - 1607, there are historical records of almost all of them. The names do not include Forte / Fort that I could find. A source is needed, otherwise John Forte, death 1601 in Virginia is _very_ doubtful. Even more so for his wife Elizabeth Forte in 1594.
