@ The average age of students attending Cambridge University during the 1500-1600's was 14-21 or 22 years of age. Therefore the birthdate for George Alcock 25 March 1581 will not work because he would have been 41 or 42 years old in 1622. In this regard, I must be mistaken. However, if George Alcock was born during 1604/5, 1. It is still possible to have been the father of Ann Alcock b.1617 in England when George was 14 or 15 years old. 2.Then he would have been 18 or 19 in 1622 at Cambridge University. 3.When his son John Alcock b.1626/27 five years later in England he would have been 22. 4.When Ann Alcock arrived in New England in 1635/6 George would have been 31 or 32 years old. 5.When George Alcock married his 2nd wife Elizabeth, who gave birth to Samuel 16 April 1637, he would have been 33 or 34 years old. 6.If George died at Roxbury during 1640 he would have been then 36 or 37 years of age. So it seems my theory appears to be mistaken with the 1581 birthdate and his attendance at Cambridge University.
However, if one accepts how young their attendance at the University was in those days, one could also understand how young men could have children at the ages of 14 or 15. So, accepting the birthdate for George Alcock as 25 March 1604/5, as well as George having a daughter Ann Alcock b.1617/18 by Ann [Hooker] Alcock, it continues to be possible that Ann [Alcock] Foster, wife of Andrew Foster of Andover is one and the same person. a. The ages of Ann Alcock and Ann Foster of Andover still remain the same,75 years old during 1692. b. The sons of William Chandler, Thomas and William of Andover did sign the Will of Andrew Foster of Andover. c. Many connections between the Hookers, Eliot's, Foster's and Alcock's at Cambridge University remain. d. DNA evidence confirms my relatedness to several branches of Foster's. e. George Alcock's original Will no longer exists. f. Is it possible that George Alcock was only 36 or 37 years old when he died during 1640 ? We all struggle with the lack of remaining evidence, so I sincerely wish you all good luck and "God Speed" !
