Wondering how active everyone is on this profile.
Lodewijk Heijstek is my ancestor. Is this as far back as you have information regarding this?
I am from South Africa and Jan Adriaan Heijstek was the first of my family to come to South Africa with the Wes indiese companje.
You got any more details?

Hi Antonet,

Lodewijk Heijstek is my 8th great uncle's great grandfather, so not an overly active part of my research. I'll poke around on MyHeritage and in Legacy 9.0 to see if I have anything else to add.

I was born in the Netherlands, but have lived on the West Coast of Canada for over 50 years.
