Between Elizabeth (Shelton) Durham, widow of Gregory Durham and Henry Christian

This indenture made this sixth day of December and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen, between Elizabeth Durham, widow of Gregory Durham, Des? (Deceased), William Durham, Archibald Durham, James Durham, George Durham, James Shelton and his wife Susanna, daughter of the said Gregory Durham, Salley Durham, William Yates and Patty his wife, daughter of the said Gregory Durham, Robinson Vaughan and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of the said Gregory Durham, and Cornelius Hart his wife Polley, daughter and Rebecca Durham of the said Gregory Durham, all of the County of Stokes and State of North Carolina of the one part, and Henry Christian now of the same County and State of the other part, witnessed what for and in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred dollars in hand, paid the receipt, whereof is hereby fully acknowledged that given, granted bargained and sold, and do by then presents, give, grants, bargained in as of _____ and aspine unto the said Henry Christian, a certain tract, piece or parcel of land, situate lying in the County & State aforesaid (N.E.) this fork, a branch of Peters Creek and bounded as follows (to west) beginning at a black oak the (S.E) corner of the original survey, standing on the south side of a road. Thence North with the old line two hundred poles passing a branch to a red oak the (N.E.) corner. West three hundred forty eight poles to a dead black oak adjoining said fork, South twenty poles to a Dogwood on the North side of a small branch and thence down said branch west fifty five poles to a rock in the Creek below the mouth of the branch, thense south one hundred Sixty one poles to a black oak, crossing said fork, thence East four hundred poles to the beginning, containing four hundred & eighty seven acres be the same more of less. To have and to hold the aforesaid granted land with the apprestenances and all rights, priviledges, and improvements to the same in any ____belonging to him, the said Henry Christian and the said Elizabeth Durham, William Durham, Archibald Durham, James Durham, George Durham, James Shelton and his wife Susanna, Salley Durham, William Yates and his wife Patty, Robinson Vaughan and his wife Elizabeth, Cornelius Hart and his wife Polley and Rebecca Durham doth by show presents bind themselves then him able to warrant and ____ the aforesaid granted land and premises to him the said Henry Christian his heirs or _____. ____of signs forever, free and ___from the rights tolls, Lawful ____or of any person or persons whatever. In witness whereof ___have here unto ___his hands and unto the date ___written.

Wow, neat! IIRC I had only worked on Gregory's profile while doing general DAR work; he's not a close relative.

We are trying to find any connection between Archibald/Archelas Durham and his son Rev. William Robert Durham.
