I am a descendant of John George Genewyer/Alewine. My line goes as follows:
John George Genewyer Alewine - 7X Great Grandfather
Michael "the Emigrant" Genewyer / Alewine - 6X Great Grandfather
Michael Alewine - 5 X - Great Grandfather
Abram or Abraham Alewine - 4X Great Grandfather
Joseph Addison Alewine - 3X Great Grandfather
Amaziah Franklin "Dock" Alewine - Great Great Grandfather
Francis Odella Rebecca Adaline (Flossie) Alewine - Great Grandmother
Aimee Lee Thrasher - Grandmother

I have a little information on a few people, but I have questions on Amaziah, like why did they call him Dock? It is even on his tombstone, but not Doc like a doctor, so really curious. Abraham would love to know if he was in any of the wars. Thought I saw something, but I don't have a good date, just a year to help me. Michael, the younger one, I show him married to Elizabeth Risinger, but then I have his father married to Mary Risinger. Were they related? Mother/daughter? Cousins? No relation?

Then I have also heard story that John George and Michael came to the US before 1752 on the Caldonia and then came back on the Rowand in 1752 with the rest of the family. Has anyone heard of this?

Thanks!
Leigh
