THREE SAMUEL VOGAN'S Confusing many. My ancestor #1-Samuel Vogan was born 9 January 1787 in PA died 17 August 1880 in KY. He married [1] Mickel Rhodes [2] Rebecca Baird. He was the only Samuel that moved to KY. His parents are UNKNOWN.
#2-Samuel born 1 February 1788 died 23 August 1861 in Lancaster County, PA. He married Sarah Remsnyder. His parents were James Vogan Sr and Margaret Riley.
#3-Samuel Vogan Sr born 19 February 1788 died 23 August 1864 in Lancaster County, PA. He married Anna Covert. His parents were John Vogan Sr and Ann Ruth Griffin.
I believe that they are all related, but have not any luck in finding my [#1] parents. I have researched the William & Isabella Vogan's family, their children were: James, Jacob, Jean, Robert, John, Thomas, Samuel, Isaac and Isabelle. The only possible son would be Robert, he married Ann Wiley and is on 1790 Census. They have one daughter Isabella and am sure there were more. My Samuel had a son he named Joseph Robert, they also had Arianne, Nancy, Fielding Walker, James Alexander and Mary Ann.
Please check which Samuel you belong to and do not attach the Samuel's 2 and 3 to my tree.
