The Family Bible has excerpted copy of the names and birth dates of eleven children and is on file in the Bladen County Library in Elizabethtown, N.C. with the notation that "Silence" Lewis was the original birth name for the child listed above as "Silvia" but Josiah's Will lists all the beneficiaries and the name "Silvia" is listed there and there is no "Silence" listed.
The afore mentioned Family Bible also notes that Josiah's wife "Ann" died with the five days after the birth of her eleventh child, Miriam, on December 29, 1775. The Bible entry lists a son, "Durrum", a cemetery lists this person as, "Durham" , and Josiah's handwritten Will dated 18 Dec., 1819 lists the same son as, "Darrum".
