This Samuel Hicks appears to be the son of Samuel (son of Robert) and Lydia Doane. There are a number of good sources for this and for his marrying Hannah Evans.
Such as http://www.antonymaitland.com/hptext/hp1064.txt
But Pane-Joyce, who are usually very good, have Samuel marrying Ruth Haskins instead of Hannah Evans (and the dates are different).

Apparently a third source, citing Savage, has an entirely different set of parents for Samuel Hicks married to Hannah Evans.
From a Geni user:
I believe Samuel Hicks was born to Thomas Hicks/Hix and Margaret West (1600-1666), based on the info available from American Genealogical-Biographical Index (AGBI).

I had separated the two Samuel Hicks and MPed them when I realized that for Pane Joyce the Samuel who married Ruth Haskins was the offspring of Samuel Sr. and Lydia Doane.
My NEGHS books are still in my East Coast house I believe. Can anyone help figure out whether there are TWO or ONE Samuel Hicks and who the correct wife is, if there is one Samuel Hicks.
