This profile is deeply flawed by naming 12 children for her when the official records of this family recorded by the Heralds of the College of Arms in London only record 8 children. The matching profile for her husband Sir William Harris shows three wives when she was his only wife with two wives Alice who had sons Sir John Harris and Sgt John Harris respectively. There never was a son Sir John Harris as the first son Arthur was the only one to inherit the title when Sir William died in 1616.
Also, the link to the website: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~molcgdrg/sur/1h/harris-notest1.htm
is filled with the kind of garbage one can now expect on Geni. It is essentially undocumented and filled with errors that attempt to combine the unrelated families of Capt Thomas Harris of Jamestown, Maj Robert Harris d1701 and Sgt John Harris into one connected family that DNA has verified is not possible. It even names the parents of the wife of John Harris, Joane Percy, as Waldegrave who were actually the parents of Dorothy Waldegrave who married Arthur Harris. No mention is made of Joane's actual parents of Sir Henry Percy and Maud Herbert. The link to this website should be removed immediately before other Geni members can pass it on to others as proven data.

Managers of Alice Harris,
I am contacting you about this profile: Alice Harris
You have made two errors in this profile by naming two wives Alice Smythe, each with a son John when the official crown records only record ONE wife Alice Smyth and ONE son who was called Sgt John Harris who married Dorothy Calcott. There never existed a son Sir John Harris as the title was only inherited by the 1st son Sir Arthur Harris, There was no other wife of Sissly Pearce. The tombstone markers show Alice died just a few days before her husband, so there could not be another wife.
Sincerely,
Tom King
Alice (Smythe) Harris
I see you have read the message, but still show Alice Smythe Harris as the mother of 12 children and have not removed the link to the erroneous website that combines three different Harris lines. I suggest you look at the link that Erica provided to the Visitation of Essex in 1612. But my mistake in the date of Alice as she actually died a year and a few days before her husband Sir William Harris.
