Hello,
I have GeniPro and want to copy certain profiles from MyH using SmartCopy. But I do not have data subscription at MyH and possiblly therefore can not copy profiles from MyH. Maybe there are solutions here?

As I understand you dont need a MH subscription but the profiles you want to copy from MH must be publicly viewable profiles

And what abt. private profiles. You have to subscribe data plan in order to copy them or they are closed for copying?

There are "public collections" (e.g. census) on MH which can be used without a data subscription. For the other MH info:

SmartCopy will use whatever information on MH which you can view with the MH account that "matches" your Geni profile name.

I'm not sure how one establishes that "link" between the Geni username and the MH user name ... I think it may use the email address. That is, if you set up your MH account with a different email than you use for Geni, you won't be able to see your MH "private" profiles.

You should be able to use SmartCopy on your private MH tree. So long as you can view your tree and then point it to the tree on Geni which you have access to. There is no need to link MH and Geni.

Thus, a "data subscription" provides 'access' to SmartMatches, but is not required to access your own (or publicly view-able) MH records to use with SmartCopy.
