The date of birth listed here: 31 Jul 1744, is incorrect. All records used at the time, used the old style of dating, which have his date of birth as "31st day of 7th month, 1744". In the old style of dating, the "7th month" is September, not the current style which is July. So his correct birth date is 31 Jul 1744. (A side note, all records found so far have it as 31st, but all calendar programs do not have a 31st for 1744, which is an entire other issue.) There are many books and online pages which go into the dating, OLD Style and NEW Style, Gregorian Calendar/ Julian Calendar/Roman Calendar. Quickly, in the old style, the first (1st) month is March, ending with the 12th month being February. In the new style, it is of course, 1st month is January and the 12th month is December.
