Fed Up

There is nothing called MY TREE on Geni, - Geni is a site for the world tree, so it is quite natural to meet people you have absolutely no knowledge about. It could even be a fact that they are much closer related to some of the profiles than you, for example by marriage. Deleting profiles are destroying their tree as well and cause people to get very angry.

However, it is also possible you - or someone else reading this thread - has had folks actually merged in incorrectly. If that is the case, or you suspect that is the case, I am sure Bjorn would be willing to check it out, and reverse those merges if they were clearly wrong merges -- and possibly also if they are not clearly wrong, but one can find no reason to believe they are true.

Or if you mean such incorrect merges repeatedly happened, and you have managed to have the merges reversed, but they are happening again and again - that would be extremely frustrating, and I am sure that if that is the case, Bjorn would be more sympathetic and might also make suggestions on how to help avoid the situation.

PS -- There are regularly Curators following this thread: https://www.geni.com/discussions/156925 specifically for the purpose of helping folks out should there be situations such as either of those I mention above, so it does not have to be Bjorn every time.
