How can Richard Case (born 1532-1586) be Thomas Chase son who was born in 1520. That would make Thomas Chase 12 years old when Richard was born. Furthermore, who would name one child Richard Case (born 1532) and another son Richard Chase (1542)?

I believe Case & Chase had been mixed up with each other at some point. Thank you for calling attention to the error, I've disconnected Case from the CHASE family. Feel free to add details, the line is under sourced.

I agree that Thomas Case and Thomas Chase have probably been mixed up. I think the father of Richard Case is Thomas Case, born July 1532 in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, Eng.; m. 10 March 1558 in Great Fransham, Norfolk, Eng. to Mary Ana Mitchell; d. 12 Nov. 1586 in Necton, Norfolk, Eng.

Teresa, my research agrees with yours. If we could get more DNA testing of Case males we could get this solved without question!
