The profile states there is a common belief that William is the son of John. What is the evidence of this relationship?

As far as I know, it consists of the following:

* William's alleged father John (John Warden) migrated from Stirlingshire, Scotland to Charles County, Maryland sometime in the mid- to late 17th century.

* No records of other males surnamed Warden and living in Charles County prior to William's birth have been discovered so far.
