Old Burke was a bit on the gullible side when it came to "family history". While many of his lines can be confirmed by further research, some cannot.
Richard Molineaux was an ironmonger in Willenhall, Staffordshire - some snooping about in Willenhall parish records might pay off, at least as to who *his* parents were.
I came upon an interesting tidbit regarding one of Margaret's brothers, a Richard Molyneaux Jr., who removed to London and set up an ironmongery. Seems he was asked to do some repairs on the pipes for an organ that was presented to Trinity Episcopal Church, Newport RI by Bishop George "esse ist percipi" Berkeley - unknown if the repairs were successful, but the original organ has been replaced at least twice, most recently by an electronic equivalent: http://spellerweb.net/poindex/Instruments/USAorgans/Newport.html
Bishop Berkeley is also known as "tree in the quad" Berkeley, because his philosophy inspired the following pair of limericks:
There was a young man who said "God
Must think it entirely odd
To see that this tree
Continues to be
When there's no one about in the Quad."
"Dear sir, your astonishment's odd -
*I* am always about in the Quad,
And therefore this tree
continues to be,
as signed by, yours faithfully, GOD."
