I was born in the HOF DP Camp in October 1946. My parents "of blessed memory" were survivors of the killing fields of Sarny, Volynhia, Ukraine.

I forgot to type in the above "message" that I'd like a coordinator to add
HOF DP camp to the list of DP camps in the American zone.
HOF DP camp opened in Summer 1946 and closed in Fall 1948. When you "Google" HOP DP camp ... you will find many references to HOF DP camp ... which was located north-east of Bamberg.

I am happy to meet a person who like me, was born in a DP camp! You in October 1946, I in June 1946. My DP camp was Riccione, Italy.
My parents are also survivors, but they have always managed to avoid going to concentration camps, but from 1939 to 1944 they spent a lot of time in prison (Austria, Yugoslavia, Italy)

Anna Paikow,

If you provide me with some links, I will be able to create the project for you.

I have a friend who was born in the Bergen-Belsen DP Camp and a cousin who was born in Hassenhacker DP Camp.

I met a cousin thru DNA - she in France and I'm in US. Her grandmother was in DP Camp and birthed my cousin's father in that camp in 1946. He was born in Schorndorf,, but all the documents I find say Augsburg or Ludwigsburg, so I am following those, ?We are thinking the unknown person that fathered the baby led to my line of ancestors.
