The Source added by Erica is based on an undocumented 1954 book by John Bennett Boddie, "Historical Southern Families" that has been proven false for many decades. Suggest you find a 1995 book entitled "The Five Thomas Harrises of Isle of Wight County Virginia" by the eminent professional genealogist John A Brayton that documents many generations of descendants of each of these UNRELATED Thomas Harris. The Australian submitter of this page has not replied to any of my emails for a decade now so it is possible he died. There is only one contemporary documented source for this Alice West Harris and that is her transport from London in 1615 at age 21. No documents have ever been found in America that prove this Alice West as the wife of a Thomas Harris or name her parents or children, at least none in the 55+ years I have been researching this particular Harris family.
