Hello, fellow Granite State researchers,
I thought it might be useful to share where we're all researching.
I'm mostly focused on Hinsdale, Cheshire County and some of the surrounding towns, including Chesterfield. My family were among the early settlers in Hinsdale, with my direct line migrating to the West River Valley in Vermont by the late 19th C. A large number of West River Valley families go back to that one town.
I also have some interest in Berlin and Coos County. My older (half-)sister traces her ancestry to loggers there. I'm told that her Goff line goes back to the namesake of Goffstown, outside of Manchester, but I haven't been able to make that connection yet.
So, mostly just old Yankees for me. I know that we have Geni users who focus on the French-Canadian, Jewish, and Irish lines in the state, so I hope they get active in our group. :) And any others, of course!
