There is an old project for the State of North Carolina here: https://www.geni.com/projects/North-Carolina/18427

I am "merging" projects into this one. Collaborators on the previous project will be added to this one (https://www.geni.com/projects/State-of-North-Carolina/33531)

Also a reminder that the State projects are portals, indexes to resources and to related projects. Please do not add profiles to the State projects.

Dear Ms.Howton, Please combine the projects I helped create. I am and have been willing to help.Chris L.Mathews

You've been a great help! We'll have to think about the best ways to combine. More subportals, I think, so the "related projects" aren't too long to navigate.

For North Carolina don't we need a "North Carolina at War" subportal to group all the battles? Not sure what to call it.

re "North Carolina at War" No! the projects are getting unmanageable.

There is a master project for North Carolina in the Civil War. There's at least one for every state; divided states have both CSA and USA projects.

We need to continue being judicious about what needs a subportal and what's just needless hypercategorization. It's a fine line. Geni is not Wikipedia.

We need to come together on this. Geni.com can be improved and should be improved. Chris L.Mathews

Private User,

I do agree with you. What we need to do is to get your duplicate projects transferred over to the ones that are of a much better quality.
