Absalom did not move to Shoulder Creek Georgia until after the 1790 elections in Greensville Co., VA in which he voted for Thomas Edmunds for the 2nd Congress of Representatives. The Family Bible of Absalom Harris was published by the Old Oglethorpe County Historical Society back in the late 1930's. It show his 1st marriage to Elizabeth Tarver as 21 Dec 1774 and their 1st son Benjamin born 7 Dec 1775 AND HIS DEATH ON 15 Oct 1802. Absalom administered the estate of his deceased son Benjamin Harris in Dec 1802, Hancock Wills & Estates Bk B, pgs 65-77. The Benjamin Harris d1848 in Indiana is proven to have been born on 30 Nov 1774, (in Ohio?) two weeks before Absalom Harris married Elizabeth Tarver in Southampton Co., VA. yDNA from living direct male Harris descendants of this Benjamin Harris d1848 prove that he was not related to this Virginia Harris line.
