Placement of "Sukey" Hunt in the family tree has always been difficult, partly because she as for a long time confused with Susan Bonnewell. There was never any doubt that she *did* belong to the Hunt family, but which of several candidates was her father has not been clear.

The most recent edition of the Miles Files shows that a theory I discounted as being much too twisty is in fact the most likely explanation:

Susan 'Sukey' Hunt1
F, b. 15 March 1797, d. 5 November 1848

Father Hillery (600) Hunt2 b. c 1764, d. b 9 Sep 1799

Mother Delitha Luker2 b. c 1775, d. b 10 Oct 1836

The reason I called it "twisty" is that it makes Joakim W Hanby and Mary E. Hanby half-first cousins, both grandchildren of Delitha Hunt Wilkins through different husbands.

The bramble-bushing of the lower Delmarva *had* reached that point by then, which is one reason (along with overcrowding and all the good property being taken) why people started leaving for other parts of the country.
