Hello, cousins!,
Here's a thread for all of us Vermonters and Vermont researchers to introduce ourselves. :)
I'm the first in my family to *not* be born and raised in Vermont since the settler days, though I have lived in Brattleboro. My immediate ancestry is in Jamaica, Windham County, with roots mostly in Windham, Bennington, Windsor, and (just a bit) Grand Isle counties. Pretty standard Yankee stock, with Welsh, Irish, Scottish, and Danish mixed in.
As far as brick walls go, my grandfather was adopted from the Lund Home in Burlington and I'm always looking for advice on navigating the adoptee research process in the state. So far, no luck learning much of anything.
