The birth years of Margaret and her daughter, Mary are confusing. Margaret and Mary seem to have been born within a year of each other. Is this simply how the record was written, or is the link false?

Mary Douglas was born about 1390, "Mary was the eldest legitimate daughter of Archibald Douglas, 4th Earl of Douglas, Duke of Tourraine and as her dower or inheritance---received the great Barony of Parton of Galloway."

Bef 1390 is given as the marriage date for Margaret & Archibald

Abt 1366 is given as the marriage date of Annabella Drummond, Margaret's mother

I'm looking at http://genealogics.org/getperson.php?personID=I00006066&tree=LEO which cites

I think the geni profiles are OK but maybe Margaret should be tweaked to a between date.

Ah - you're referring to the "overview" text

""Margaret Stewart, Lady of Galloway was born between 1367 and 1385.

Yes, let's take that out. She had to have been born no later than 1375 to have Mary abt 1390.

Good point.

Thanks, Erica Howton. Just had to make sure.
