I don't have Philipp Jacob Feck or Dorothea Niederauer in my records but they're in the correct place to be part of my Fake-Feg-Faeg-Veg-Veeck-etc family.
Your question about documentation that Feck (and many other surname spellings) is a corruption of the name Veeck for me will lead to various records available through FamilySearch.com, Ancestry.com and the research and publications of a genealogist named Henry Z. 'Hank' Jones ( http://www.hankjones.com/ ). He was an actor as a young man, appearing in several Disney films in the 60s. He's been a serious genealogist all his adult life.
In one of his several books detailing the immigration of people from the Palatinate region to New York Colony he noted several members of the Veeck-Faeg-etc family recorded in Vollmersbach and Idar church and civil documents as Johannes Scheider with the family name 'Veeck" also written in the record. The assumption has been that Schneider (cutter) was an occupational name while 'Veeck" was the family name.
The use of secondary names at this time was still fairly fluid. Veeck seems to have been the inherited name members of the family were using while they were commonly known by their (and their husband or father's) occupation. Many have taken Schneider to indicate Johannes was a tailor which is a common use of that name. I've always assumed it to mean the men were involved in the local mineral industry where Steinschneiders were common.
If my notes are accurate some of the records were available with Schneider and various spellings of Veeck in the Mormon records available when I first discovered the Family History Library in my home county. I have the 10 Dec 1675 baptism of "Agnesess Veeck" from the IGI records Batch K988941. It shows her as the daughter of Nickllass Veeck and Anna Margretha at the Evangelisch church of Oberstein, Oldenburg, Germany.
Johann Nicol Veeck is the son of Johannes Schneider who was also known by Veeck and Faeg in other records. Nicholas' eldest son Johann Peter Faeg-Feeg-Feg-Feeck born in Vollmersbach, Idar, the Rhineland, Prussia 15 Nov 1672 married Anna Maria Risch 26 Nov 1697 in a double wedding with Jacob Risch and Margaretha Petri. The church records show a notation saying both couples left that day for America.
