I don't know that we have enough primary sources to solve this yet :-(

1. First, I agree with the About research conclusion that, contrary to SAG, Hester Christina Nel, b3c2d4 was married to a Willem Nel, who was a son of an Elias (who else can this be but Elias Nel?) who was the father of Anna Christina, Christina Magdalena, Heser Cicilia, Maria Elisabeth, Abraham Jacobus Joh:s , Elias Albertus
Her death inventory tells us this. "Hester van Wijk ten voordeele harer overgebleevene man den landbouwer Willem Nel Eliasz"

(Ie not to Willem Adriaan Nel, son of Adriaan Nel)

2. But that still leaves us with the problem of the birthdate of her husband:

Is he the Willem Adriaan baptised on 16 Mar 1755
Baptism Date: 16 Mar 1755
Event Place: Dutch Reformed Church, Swartland (Malmesbury)
Child: Willem Adriaan
Father: Elias Nel
Mother: Anna Viefije
Witnesses: Willem Adriaan van Jaarsveld, Elisabeth Jordaan
Additional notes: Onder't Land van Waveren
Note: (No document available to prove his exact LNAB. Only the transcription available on eGGSA) https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Nel-1395#_note-Dirk6

Or is he the Willem Adriaan that his father (Elias)'s will suggests was born only in 1758/9?
MOOC8/14.45a
Testator(s):Elias Nel 2 Maart 1773
1) Jan Abraham Nel oud 30 jaaren ter andere zijde
2) Albert Nel oud 29 jaaren
3) Willem Adriaan Nel oud 14 jaaren

Do we decide that the 1755 Willem Adriaan, died very young, and another was born in 1758?

Or do we decide that the 14 years old in the inventory transcription is a typo for 19yrs old?

Until we can see an original of Elias's inventory, I'd say that it's easiest to presume that this is the typo, and there is one son born before 16 March 1755, who marries Hester.

Thanks, I'll add that as corroborating the other baptism transcript :-)
