Have you done any DNA testing? If so what type?

A. Autosomal DNA
B. Y DNA
C. mt DNA

I have tested YDNA through ancestry and just recently sent off autosomal DNA with them. I have also tested 67 markers & Big Y DNA through Family Tree DNA. I have a family tree on ancestry, wiki, my heritage & of course geni.com

I have tested several years ago YDNA through Family Tree but have not used this in research. Would be interested in doing mtDNA testing if it would assist in maternal searching. Would appreciate suggestions on next steps, particularly in clarifying 19th c. information.

George Dennis Massey,

There is no doubt a connection between us with regards to our shared ancestor Jacob Massey. Recent DNA research suggest that we connect back to Peter Massey (1714-1759). Kit# 514811 of Robert Lee Massey recently proved this as I have compared family tree's with the daughter's. In conclusion on our YDNA our terminal SNP is A6397 according to testing done by myself and my father. For $39 or so I would test the individual SNP A6397 just to get you down stream with me and my testing. I have several novel SNP's that we could test and help bridge the 2,000 year or so gap we have left to present time. I will send you the list of SNP's needing tested according to WIlliam Hartley the Z138 Project administrator on Facebook.

You may want to do mtDNA and autosomal DNA. It depends on what your overall goals are. I just recently tested autosomal DNA with ancestry.com and will transfer the data over to Family Tree DNA. I will keep you posted.

Please see International Society of Genetic Geneology Phyleogenetic Tree for haplogroup I1 this will give you and idea of where our SNP's lie on the tree. We are I1a2b group:
