New Evidence (Including Y-DNA) point to a different parent of Benjamin Johnson Cady. JCC Sr had at least 4 sons.
Daniel Wilson Cady 1786-1869, Joseph C Cady Jr 1794-1868, Benjamin Johnson Cady 1797-1879 and Naham Cady 1816-1889 and possibly one 'sother born 1805. JCC Sr was know to be related to Davd Cady 176x1821 and both had property in several area's of Southwest Ohio. BJC;s second son Joseph Daniel Cady was likely named for his brothers and possibly Silas Naham Cady for two others.

Joseph C Cay 176x-1821 had several sons - Daniel Wilson Cady 1789-1869, Joseph C Cady Jr 17+4-1868 Benjamin Johnson Cady 1797-1879 and Naham Cady 1816-188x. There might also be a son born 1805, but the only names I have are Silas or Asahel. There was a Silas Cady 1805 in Sherman. St Joseph Co, MI and an Asahel near Cleveland, OH. Length of time between births, points to JCC being a teamster or traveling more than usual. He was know to have business across Hamilton County. This adds to the confusion with Joseph Cleveland Cady who was a Keel=Canal boat captain.

Some evidence points to Cleveland (Census of 1800 and the names of his sons are all named for Methodist Clergy). New evidence points to Joseph C Cady Sr being a different person. They must have crossed paths as they both have connections to CT, NY and OH. JCC Sr used Cody several times, In 1790, he is listed between two David Cady's who are later in Florida, Montgomery Co, NY In ,1820 he is in Mill Creek, Hamilton with David Cady. Sons Daniel Madison, Butler,Oh and Joseph Miamitown,Hamilton,OH and Benjamin in Colerain,Hamilton,OH
