Sent e-mail to Nordhorn culture and history department last week . They promised to send me more info all I found was Bernd Pottgeter married a daughter or Keteler. Also Hermann Pottgeter Mayor of village Ug part of Nordhorn . Waiting for more feedback

There is another problem

Bertholds son Heinrich became Provost to Schleswig / Lubeck.

Ketel died in 1520 and was succeeded by Benedict von Ahlefeldt

If Heinrich Ketel really died in 1520,then he could not have had the child that would eventually marry Bernd because she was supposedly only born in 1540. This is another problem.

I am 43 % Scandinavian and descendant of Bernd Pottgeter so maybe the Scandinavian origin possible ?
