Trying to authenticate the European origins of Nikolaus Schall ( 1709-1772) ,wife Catharina, and children Andreas, Nicholas Jr., Michael, and Anna maria who left Europe from Rotterdam on the ship Neptuen in 1752 arriving in Philadelphia. They settled in Northampton county, Pennsylvania. Many family descendants attribute Maximillian Ramian Heinrich Schall von Bell and wife Anna Maria von Hatzfeld(t) as Nikloaus's parents but no primary source ( church record, land transfer, city records ) has ever been shown to prove this link. I would love to know who Nicholas's parents were because my sister and I are going to Germany in May 2017 and would like to visit the authentic towns and villages of this family. Any help with primary sources would be gratefully received.
