Pearl L. Exceen, age 77, died November 15, 1993 after a short illness. Services were held in ElCajon, California, Friday, November 19, 1993.
Pearl was born March 26, 1916 in Brownlee, Nebraska. She was the second of nine children born to Roy and Catherine Blauvelt. She was baptized in the Methodist church.
She was united in marriage to Silas (Sam) Exceen on February 11, 1936. To this union one son, Albert, was born. They made their home in Holdrege until 1945,then moved to Iowa and later to California. Her husband passed away in January of 1980. In 1989,Pearl moved to Holdrege, where she resided until her death.
Survivors include her son, Albert and his wife Alice of Roseburg, Oregon, one grandson, Lee and his wife Leanne; two granddaughters, Teri and her husband Ray Highly; Christine and her husband Jerry Henderson. Five great a grandchildren, Tabitha and Cameron Exceen; Jamie, Jarret and Patrick Highly; two brothers, Irven Blauvelt and his wife Vera; Bruce Blauvelt and his wife Ali; six sisters, Viola and her husband Elmer Jones; Rose and her husband Morris Olson; Nelia and her husband Gailard Von Loh; Calvia and her husband Jack Jackson; Ladonna and her husband Virgil Hanson; Laden's and her husband Larry Menze; and one brother - in- law Stanley Exceen and his wife Lesta;and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
